Besiktas line up summer move for Arokodare

US denies agreeing to unfreeze Iran assets

A senior United States official has denied a report that Washington agreed to unfreeze Iranian assets held in Qatar and other foreign banks as part of ongoing talks with Tehran. NNPCL revenue hits N2.68tr in February up 4.24 percent

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited NNPCL says its revenue rose by 4.24 percent in February 2026 to N2.68 trillion, up from N2.57 trillion recorded in January. The figures were contained in NNPCL’s February 2026 monthly report published on the company’s official X handle. According to the report, profit after tax for February stood at N136 billion, a drop of N249 billion compared to the N385 billion profit posted in January. The document noted that the report covered key indicators, including revenue, profit after tax, statutory payments and major strategic initiatives carried out during the month. FG orders seizure of passports from ex Nigerians

The Federal Government has ordered the Nigeria Immigration Service to immediately withdraw and deactivate passports held by Nigerians who have formally renounced their citizenship. Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji Ojo gave the directive to the NIS, targeting people whose renunciation requests have already been approved by the President. This means they can no longer legally hold or use Nigerian passports once the process is completed.
