Lilian Afegbai explains why she keeps her personal life from friends

Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai has explained why she keeps her relationships and personal life away from public view, including from close friends.​ Speaking on the show Unfiltered and Extra Spicy, she said she is naturally a private person and does not feel the need to share intimate details with anyone. Afegbai noted that she does not discuss her relationship or private life even within her inner circle.​ She linked this attitude to childhood experiences that left her with deep trust issues. Afegbai revealed that she has started therapy to deal with these issues and described herself as a work in progress.​ The actress added that people often misread her because she appears very sociable and has many friends. She clarified that having many friends does not mean she is close to everyone or opens up about her personal life.​

Maduka counters Cubana Chief Priest says he mentored 67 billionaires

Ex Arsenal star Partey hit with two more rape charges

Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two additional counts of rape in the United Kingdom. The new charges relate to one woman and date back to an incident alleged to have occurred in 2020.​ Police said the alleged offence was reported in August 2025. Partey, now 32 and playing for Spanish club Villarreal, is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 13 to answer the fresh charges.​ In September, he pleaded not guilty at Southwark Crown Court to five counts of rape involving two other women and one charge of sexual assault against a third woman. England extend Tuchel contract to Euro 2028

England manager Thomas Tuchel has signed a new contract that will keep him in charge of the national team until after Euro 2028. The German coach was appointed in October 2024 and has led England through an unbeaten qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup in North America.​ Tuchel said he was happy and proud to extend his stay, calling the England job a dream role. Reps panel moves to cut budget funds for 22 defaulting agencies

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts has asked that 22 federal ministries, departments and agencies be removed from the 2026 budget over alleged refusal to account for public funds. Chairman Bamidele Salam said the affected institutions repeatedly ignored audit queries and legislative summons covering the 2020, 2021 and 2022 financial years.​ Agencies named include the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Federal Housing Authority, Standards Organisation of Nigeria, National Insurance Commission, National Business and Technical Examinations Board and the Corporate Affairs Commission. NNPP insists no link between Kwankwaso and extremists

The New Nigeria Peoples Party has rejected moves in the United States to sanction its national leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, insisting there is no evidence tying him to any extremist organisation.​ NNPP campaign secretary Folashade Aliu said on Channels Television that the proposed bill, which also mentions Miyetti Allah groups, is unjust and malicious. IGP declares banks national security asset orders cyber fraud clampdown

Workers protest at NAFDAC office over sachet alcohol ban

Workers in the food and beverage sector on Thursday staged a protest at the Lagos office of NAFDAC, demanding a halt to the enforcement of the sachet alcohol ban and the reopening of sealed factories and depots. The demonstrators, mostly from affected distilleries, accused the agency of ignoring earlier interventions said to have come from the SGF and the National Security Adviser.​ The protesters, under the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association, carried placards and chanted solidarity songs as they called for the release of products allegedly seized during recent enforcement operations.
