Fresh drama trails reconciliation of Tonto Dikeh and Churchill

The reconciliation between Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh and her ex husband Olakunle Churchill has continued to stir intense debate and mixed reactions online. Their renewed friendliness, especially at their son King Andre’s 10th birthday celebration, has divided fans and reopened old conversations about their past. Tonto recently confirmed that she and Churchill had made peace after nearly 10 years of public conflict and accusations. She described the reunion as a divine restoration made possible through humility, prayer and a desire to do what is best for their son. Many Nigerians have welcomed the reconciliation, praising both of them for putting their child first and choosing peace over drama. Others, however, remain sceptical and worry that the renewed closeness could lead to more controversy, given the couple’s turbulent history. UK foreign minister to meet Rubio over tensions at joint air base

Britain’s foreign minister Yvette Cooper will meet United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington on Friday amid rising tensions over their joint military base on Diego Garcia. The talks follow President Donald Trump’s renewed criticism of the UK’s decision to cede sovereignty over the surrounding Chagos Islands to Mauritius. Under a deal agreed last year by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Britain will transfer sovereignty of the Chagos Islands while keeping control of the Diego Garcia base through a 99 year lease that guarantees continued US military access. Washington initially backed the arrangement, but Trump has since repeatedly attacked it, calling the move a “big mistake” and warning London not to “give away Diego Garcia.” The dispute has sharpened as the US steps up military deployments around Iran and weighs possible strikes against its nuclear and military facilities. British […]

Trump gives Iran 10 days to agree deal or face possible strike

United States President Donald Trump says the world will know within about 10 days whether his administration reaches a new deal with Iran or decides to launch military action. He warned that if diplomacy fails, Washington is prepared to respond with force. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said talks with Iran were “serious” but insisted any agreement must go beyond the previous nuclear deal. He wants tighter restrictions on Iran’s nuclear programme, limits on its ballistic missiles and changes to its regional activities. The comments come as the United States continues a major military build up around Iran, moving additional warships, aircraft and troops into the region. American officials say the deployments are meant to deter Tehran and protect US personnel and allies. Iran has repeatedly denied seeking nuclear weapons and insists its programme is for peaceful […]

Mexican authorities are working to stop Colombians linked with local drug cartels from using the 2026 World Cup to enter the country as fans.
