Sokoto to Recruit Indigenes Into Civil Service to Curb Youth Restiveness
Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has approved the constitution of a committee to oversee the recruitment of qualified indigenes into the state civil service, as part of efforts to tackle unemployment, youth restiveness, and insecurity. The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Director General of Media and Publicity at Government House, Abubakar Bawa. “In a bid to reduce unemployment and youth restiveness factors that contribute to the rising issue of informants’ syndrome and worsening insecurity in the State, His Excellency has approved the setting up of a committee to oversee the recruitment of qualified Sokoto State indigenes into the State Civil Service,” the statement read. The newly inaugurated committee will be chaired by Jelani Kalgo.
