Serena and Venus Williams to play Wimbledon doubles
Serena Williams and her sister Venus are set to play together in the Wimbledon women’s doubles after receiving a wildcard entry. The two sisters, who have won six Wimbledon doubles titles together, will return to the All England Club as Serena continues her comeback to tennis. Serena had earlier planned to partner with Victoria Mboko, but that bid was affected after Mboko withdrew because of a knee injury. The Williams sisters are expected to attract strong attention as they reunite on one of tennis’s biggest stages. Their return adds more excitement to this year’s Wimbledon, where both players have a long history of success.
