NDLEA Arrests Widow Who Faked Pregnancy to Traffic Cocaine

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 50-year-old widow, Mrs. Ifeoma Henrietta Ezewuike, for attempting to traffic 1.3kg of cocaine by disguising as a pregnant woman. Ezewuike, a fashion designer and mother of one who runs Golden Star Creation in Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos, was intercepted on Friday, August 22, 2025, at a bus terminal in Jibowu, Yaba, while trying to deliver the drugs to customers in Abuja. A search of her residence led to the recovery of 200 grams of cutting agents used in processing cocaine. She confessed to taking over the illicit trade after her husband’s death two years ago, despite running her fashion business for nearly two decades.
