Accord RDC–Rwanda : Lomé salue une avancée décisive

USA : Suspension des demandes d’asile des Togolais

Les ressortissants togolais vivant aux États-Unis ou engagés dans une procédure d’immigration sont touchés par une nouvelle mesure prise par l’administration américaine. L’USCIS, l’agence fédérale chargée des services d’immigration, a annoncé mardi la suspension immédiate de toutes les demandes d’asile en cours, ainsi que de plusieurs demandes de titres de séjour, pour les citoyens issus de 19 pays considérés comme “à haut risque”, dont le Togo. D’après la note interne publiée par l’USCIS, chaque dossier fera désormais l’objet d’une réévaluation complète. Des entretiens supplémentaires pourront être exigés, même pour les demandes qui avaient initialement été acceptées sans audition. Washington accueillera un accord de paix RDC-Rwanda
