Kwara Monarch Escapes as Vigilantes Battle Bandits

The abducted monarch of Bayagan community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Kamilu Salami, has escaped from armed bandits along with six other captives. Community sources said they fled on Sunday evening after local vigilantes launched a fierce offensive on the kidnappers’ camp deep inside the forest.​ The vigilante team reportedly tracked the gang to the Eku Idaji area, near Igbaja, and engaged them in heavy gunfire. Army, police foil night attack on Benin–Sapele road

Soldiers and police officers have rescued a missing passenger after a late-night gun attack on two commercial buses along the Benin–Sapele Expressway near Obayantor 2 community in Edo State. The incident happened around 10:45 p.m. when armed men suddenly came out of the bush and opened fire on vehicles on the busy route.​ One of the targeted vehicles, a white commercial bus with registration number 166 XB, was carrying four passengers from Kaduna to Sapele. Army Chief Orders Rescue of Kidnapped Kebbi Schoolgirls

Army Rescues Kidnapped Victim, Arrests Suspect in Taraba

Nigerian Army troops have successfully rescued a kidnapped victim in Taraba State without any ransom payment. According to a statement from the 6 Brigade, the troops acted on a distress call about the abduction of Alhaji Ali Adamu in Lau Local Council. The victim was kidnapped while sleeping outside his home. The troops immediately launched a pursuit of the kidnappers. Upon realizing they were being followed, the abductors abandoned their victim and fled into a nearby bush. Alhaji Adamu was safely rescued and reunited with his family.
