Australia police kill fugitive after long manhunt
Australian police have shot dead a man believed to be Dezi Freeman, ending a seven-month manhunt following the قتل of two police officers in 2025. According to authorities in the state of Victoria, the 56-year-old suspect was killed on Monday after a prolonged standoff at a rural property in the north-east of the state. Police had surrounded a structure described as a makeshift dwelling early in the morning. After several hours of negotiation attempts, the suspect exited the building and was shot.
