Super Eagles unhappy as NFF withholds Turkey appearance fees
Super Eagles players have expressed disappointment after the Nigeria Football Federation failed to pay their agreed appearance fees for the recent friendly matches against Iran and Jordan in Antalya, Turkey. The team defeated Iran 2 1 and drew 2 2 with Jordan during the March international window. Reports say the friendlies were organised by the Jordan Football Association, which will pay the NFF an appearance fee for Nigeria’s participation. However, despite this, the players were not paid their own appearance entitlements at the end of the games. According to sources quoted by ScoreNigeria, each player is entitled to 2,000 dollars per match, but no payment was made for either of the two fixtures.
