JUST IN: Former UNILORIN Vice Chancellor Ambali Dies at 68
The University of Ilorin has announced the death of its former Vice Chancellor, Prof AbdulGaniyu Ambali, OON, who died on Saturday morning at the age of 68 after a brief illness. Prof Ambali, a distinguished academic and administrator, served as the 9th Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN from 2012 to 2017. Before his death, he was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Kwara State University, Malete. Current UNILORIN Vice Chancellor, Prof Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, described Ambali’s death as a huge loss not only to the University of Ilorin and Kwara State University but also to the entire nation and humanity.
