Three Dead, Several Journalists Injured In Enugu Auto Crash
Three people have died and several journalists have been injured in an auto crash in Enugu State. The accident occurred on Saturday night along the Enugu Abakaliki Road as the media crew and others were returning from a public engagement. According to reports, the victims were part of a convoy heading back from an official event when their vehicle was involved in a collision. Details of how the crash happened were still emerging at the time of filing this report. Among the injured are journalists from national broadcast organisations. They include Chimaroke Ugwu, a reporter with the Nigerian Television Authority and chairman of the NTA Chapel in Enugu, his cameraman simply identified as Jerry, and Kelechi Ehirim of African Independent Television.
