Three Dead, Several Journalists Injured In Enugu Auto Crash

Three people have died and several journalists have been injured in an auto crash in Enugu State. The accident occurred on Saturday night along the Enugu Abakaliki Road as the media crew and others were returning from a public engagement. According to reports, the victims were part of a convoy heading back from an official event when their vehicle was involved in a collision. Details of how the crash happened were still emerging at the time of filing this report. Among the injured are journalists from national broadcast organisations. Speeding truck crushes LAWMA worker on Eko Bridge corridor

A Lagos Waste Management Authority worker, identified as Baba Ibeji, has been severely injured after a loaded container truck crushed him along the Offin Canal corridor inward Eko Bridge.​ The accident happened in the early hours at Oja Junction when the speeding truck reportedly suffered brake failure while descending the CMS Bridge toward Eko Bridge. The vehicle hit the LAWMA operative as he was clearing refuse on the median, then rammed into a Toyota Camry with registration number FST 417 FS.​ Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority on duty in the area quickly intervened and pulled the victim out from under the wreckage. Three Die in Gombe Road Crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed three deaths in a road crash on the Gombe–Yola Road in Gombe State. The accident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday before the Kashere junction in Akko Local Government Area. The crash, involving two cars, was attributed to wrongful overtaking and resulted in a head-on collision. Six other victims with varying injuries are receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe. The corpses of the deceased were deposited at the Specialist Hospital in Gombe.
