Councillors hail LG autonomy, endorse Tinubu for 2027
The National Councillors Forum of Nigeria has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re election bid in 2027, describing restored local government autonomy as a major breakthrough for grassroots development. At a news conference in Abuja, the forum said the administration’s policies are changing lives in rural communities and making the Renewed Hope agenda visible across the country. It stressed that councillors, as the level of government closest to the people, see first hand how federal reforms are affecting ordinary citizens.
