The Adamawa State government has imposed a 24 hour curfew on Lamurde Local Government Area following a renewed communal clash in the area. The violence reportedly broke out on Sunday evening, with fears that it caused significant damage, although official details on casualties or losses have not been released. In a statement issued on Monday by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Hussaini Hammangabdo, the government said security agencies have been directed to move in and restore law and order immediately.
