GNFS: No Casualties in Suame Post Office Fire
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed that no lives were lost in the massive fire that gutted parts of the Suame Post Office area in Kumasi on Tuesday night, August 27. According to a GNFS statement, the service received a distress call at 11:46 p.m. about a blaze involving several commercial shops. A team from the Breman Fire Station, led by STNO II Boseah, arrived at 11:57 p.m. to find the fire already spreading rapidly. The flames were fought “both offensively and defensively” until they were brought under control at 2:06 a.m. with reinforcement from the Manhyia, RHQ Substation, and Mamponteng Fire Stations.
