Trump to feature his picture in new US passports

The United States will begin issuing a limited number of new passports that include a picture of President Donald Trump inside the booklet, officials have confirmed. The design is part of a special edition created to mark the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence in July. According to the State Department, the commemorative passports will show Trump’s official portrait on an inside page alongside imagery of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. His signature will also appear in gold under the image as part of the America250 branding. Officials say between 25,000 and 30,000 of the special passports will be printed. US pulls some embassy staff from Nigeria over insecurity

In a travel advisory issued on Wednesday, the department urged American citizens to reconsider travelling to Nigeria from April 8 2026 due to crime, terrorism, kidnapping, civil unrest and limited healthcare services. Nigeria has been placed at Level 3 Reconsider Travel, while 23 states are now listed under Level 4 Do Not Travel. The advisory newly added Plateau, Jigawa, Kwara, Niger and Taraba to the Level 4 list. They join other high risk northern areas such as Borno, Yobe, Kogi and northern Adamawa where terrorism and kidnapping remain a serious threat. US Revokes Visas of Six Foreigners Over Posts on Charlie Kirk’s Killing

The United States Department of State has revoked the visas of six foreign nationals who made social media posts celebrating or justifying the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. In a statement released on X Tuesday evening, the Department said, “The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans.” The announcement included screenshots of posts from individuals in South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Germany, and Argentina.
