Wild celebrations erupted across New York City on Wednesday night as fans flooded the streets after the New York Knicks produced the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history to defeat the San Antonio Spurs. Similar scenes unfolded thousands of miles away in California, where sports bars along the Santa Monica coastline echoed with cheers. The excitement, however, had nothing to do with football's biggest tournament.
