The midnight raid took place in the Igbosi area of Idogun, where scores of gunmen stormed the community, set fire to buildings and whisked the child away to an unknown destination. Two houses were destroyed during the invasion, while the gunmen abducted the child and damaged two other buildings before fleeing. Army denies troop deaths in Ebonyi boundary attack

The Nigerian Army has condemned the recent killings in Okporojo village, Edda Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, and vowed to recover the severed heads of the victims.
