Tinubu orders 5000 AI cameras to boost Plateau security

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the deployment of more than 5000 artificial intelligence enabled surveillance cameras across Plateau State in response to recent deadly attacks in Jos. He announced the measure during a visit to Jos, where he met with political and traditional leaders and sympathised with families affected by the March 29 gun attack in Angwan Rukuba. The attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area, left over two dozen people dead and drew nationwide outrage over the persistent killings in Plateau. Tinubu assured residents that such an incident must not be allowed to happen again and pledged stronger federal support for security agencies in the state.
