BBNaija Season 10 recorded over 5m illegal streams — MultiChoice raises alarm
A senior MultiChoice executive has revealed that Big Brother Naija Season 10 recorded more than five million illegal streams across various online platforms. Speaking at NECLive 2025, the official said the figure was compiled from monitoring data and takedown reports gathered during and after the show. She warned that such massive piracy erodes advertising and subscription revenue, undermining the huge investments that go into producing and broadcasting BBNaija. According to her, unchecked illegal streaming could eventually threaten the sustainability of large-scale reality formats in Nigeria.
