Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has opened up about her approach to single parenting and why she is intentionally raising her son, Jamil, with limits despite her success. She said her goal is to build his ambition and drive, not raise a child who feels entitled to luxury. Tiwa aligned herself with businesswoman and pastor Ibukun Awosika’s advice that parents should not use their success to “kill their children’s ambition.” She warned that children who grow up having everything handed to them may lack passion, hunger and motivation later in life.
