Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, vice-presidential candidate of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), promised residents of Damongo that the NPP will prioritize investment in the local tourism sector if they win the upcoming 2024 elections. Speaking to constituents at a rally in Larabanga, he highlighted that Damongo, home to popular sites like Mole National Park and Larabanga Mosque, has untapped tourism potential. He assured voters that an NPP government would improve infrastructure to attract more tourists and create jobs, advancing the local economy.
