Presidency dismisses rumour of Gbajabiamila’s removal as Chief of Staff
The Presidency has denied reports claiming that President Bola Tinubu has replaced his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. It said the viral story suggesting that Hakeem Muri Okunola had taken over the position is completely false. Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, issued a statement debunking the claim. He described the report as a fabrication by people spreading fake news to create tension and disharmony within the government. Onanuga stressed that there has been no change in the President’s inner team. He clarified that Gbajabiamila remains the Chief of Staff, while Muri Okunola continues in his role as Principal Private Secretary.
