Nigerian singer Qdot has revisited the armed robbery at his Lagos home in a new single titled ‘28 of Sept’, describing how the attack left him traumatised months after it happened. Ondo Police Arrest 208 Suspects for Kidnapping, Robbery, and Murder

The Ondo State Police Command says it has arrested 208 suspects for various violent crimes across the state in the last two months. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the suspects were linked to offences including kidnapping, murder, rape, armed robbery, cultism, vehicle theft, and fraudulent property conversion. He attributed the success to the leadership of the State Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, working in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and in partnership with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration. “In line with our intensified crime-fighting strategies, the command has arrested no fewer than 208 suspects… ranging from kidnapping, murder, rape, armed robbery, cultism, car and motorcycle theft, to fraudulent conversion of properties,” Ayanlade said. Two Soldiers Sentenced for Kidnapping and Robbery of Small-Scale Miner.

Two soldiers have been sentenced to 10 years in prison for their involvement in the kidnapping and robbery of a small-scale miner, Mr. Andrews Asante, in Ametubuom. Lance Corporals Alfred Mensah and Matthew Amoako, alongside their accomplices, ambushed the miner’s home and forced him to hand over money and valuables totaling GH₵96,500. The robbers, who wore military uniforms, beat the miner and his family members before fleeing with the stolen goods. They were arrested after a police chase, but their fellow soldiers, Frimpong and Francis, remain on the run.
