Lagos rolls out traffic diversion plan for Fanti Carnival at TBS

The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan and temporary road closures around Tafawa Balewa Square ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled for Monday April 6 2026. Authorities say the measures are to ensure a safe and hitch free procession on Lagos Island. According to the Ministry of Transportation, vehicular movement will be restricted on major routes leading directly into TBS from 7 00 a m on the day of the event. Affected corridors include King George V Road by the Mobil Filling Station, Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Road Closures in Accra for Ghana’s 68th Independence Day Celebration

The Ghana Police Service has announced temporary road closures in Accra as part of security measures for the country’s 68th Independence Day celebrations at the Jubilee House.According to a statement from ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, several roads, including Liberation Road at Opeibea Intersection and Independence Avenue at Ako-Adjei Bypass, will be blocked to vehicular traffic until the event concludes.Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, such as the Airport Bypass and Ring Road Central, to avoid congestion.
