Gospel singer Onos Brisibi dies at 55

Nigerian gospel singer and Nollywood soundtrack vocalist Onos Brisibi has died at the age of 55 after a prolonged illness. She passed away on March 23, 2026, leaving family, friends and fans mourning a voice that helped shape the sound of classic films like “Domitilla” and “Blood Money.” Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) paid an emotional tribute to Brisibi on Instagram, describing her as a devout Christian, a gifted songstress and “love in human form.” He recalled their close family bond, her joyful personality and the way her music did more than entertain by drawing people closer to God.
