Tinubu Hails Rangers on Record Ninth NPFL Title
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Rangers International FC on winning the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title for a record ninth time. The Enugu football club etched its name deeper into Nigerian football history after defeating Ikorodu City F.C. 2-1 on Sunday to win the title. Despite sustained late pressure from Ikorodu City, Rangers held firm to secure the crucial victory that clinched the championship. President Tinubu, in a statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Bayo Onanuga, recalled Rangers' dominance in Nigerian football during the 1970s and 1980s, including their league, FA Cup and continental achievements.
