Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are set for a gruelling triple header, with both clubs due to face each other three times in just 10 days across La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. Manchester City delivered a dominant performance to beat Newcastle United 3–1 at St James’ Park and book their place in the FA Cup quarter finals. Algeria set up AFCON quarter final clash with Nigeria

Algeria have booked a place in the quarter finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, setting up a high profile clash with Nigeria’s Super Eagles.​Substitute Adil Boulbina scored a last minute extra time winner to give the Fennecs a 1–0 victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo in Rabat.​ Just as the Round of 16 tie seemed destined for penalties, Boulbina cut in from the left and fired a dipping shot that clipped the underside of the crossbar before hitting the net.​The result keeps alive Algeria’s push for a third AFCON title after previous triumphs in 1990 on home soil and in 2019 in Egypt.​ Algeria’s victory ends hopes of an immediate rematch between Nigeria and DR Congo after their heated 2026 World Cup play off meeting last November.​Instead, Nigeria will now face familiar rivals Algeria in Marrakech on […]
