2027: ADC Is a Political Scam, Says Datti Ahmed
Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party’s 2023 vice-presidential candidate and running mate to Peter Obi, has branded the African Democratic Congress (ADC) “a grand deception,” accusing it of offering refuge to former Buhari-era politicians ahead of the 2027 elections. Speaking in a Channels TV interview on Friday, Baba-Ahmed said Nigeria’s problems stem from a flawed leadership recruitment process that continually produces corrupt and self-serving leaders. He alleged that those who once surrounded former President Muhammadu Buhari were motivated purely by money and power. “From 2003 to 2015, it was all about campaign contributions. Without money, the ecosystem around him would collapse. When they eventually got power, they behaved like wolves,” he stated.
