Days after the deadly attack on Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, many families are still searching for missing loved ones. The night assault, carried out by gunmen who opened fire on residents and passersby, left at least 26 people dead and many others injured. Relatives of those unaccounted for have been moving between the Jos University Teaching Hospital, other clinics and various mortuaries hoping to find their family members alive or identify their bodies. Some say they have not heard from their loved ones since the attack and that their phones have remained switched off.
