Troops Rescue 372 Civilians in Borno, Plateau, Kaduna, Sokoto

Nigerian troops have rescued 372 kidnapped civilians across Borno, Plateau, Kaduna, and Sokoto states in a series of coordinated counter-terrorism operations, according to the Defence Headquarters (DHQ). The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, disclosed the rescue figure during a weekly press briefing in Abuja on ongoing military operations across the country. Troops operating in Plateau State have uncovered illegal arms factories and arrested at least five suspects believed to be involved in the fabrication and supply of locally made weapons. Troops kill terrorists, seize arms and stolen livestock in nationwide raids

The Nigerian Army says its troops have killed terrorists, arrested suspected gunrunners and recovered weapons and stolen livestock in multiple coordinated operations across the country. Troops kill kidnapper, arrest informants in Plateau as Niger police nab female ammunition courier

Troops of the Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace, under Operation Peace Shield, have neutralised a suspected kidnapper and arrested three alleged informants during a rapid response to a kidnapping attempt in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. Acting on credible intelligence on 15 December 2025, soldiers moved to a reported kidnap location in Dong community, where they engaged the suspects and forced them to abandon their initial plan.​ According to a statement by the Media Information Officer of JTF Operation Enduring Peace, Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, the fleeing criminals diverted to a neighbouring community and abducted four people as they tried to escape. Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation Enduring Peace (JTF-OPEP), have arrested a suspected gunrunner and his wife in Saminaka, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Maj. Samson Zhakom, the media officer of the operation, confirmed the arrest in a statement released on Wednesday in Jos. Soldiers arrest 2 cattle rustlers in Plateau, recover weapons

Troops of the 3 Division/Joint Task Force (JTF) Operation Enduring Peace have arrested two notorious cattle rustlers in Kogul Village, Mangu LGA, Plateau State, recovering arms and ammunition during a raid. Spokesman for the Taskforce, Major Samson Zhakom, confirmed the breakthrough in a statement on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
