Troops rescue 25 hostages arrest 10 suspects in nationwide raids
The Nigerian Army says its troops have rescued 25 kidnapped victims and arrested 10 suspects in a series of nationwide operations carried out over the last 48 hours. According to a source at Army Headquarters, the suspects include alleged bandit collaborators illegal miners violent extremists and a suspected arms dealer. The source said the coordinated missions took place across the North East North West North Central and South South regions. In the North East troops of Operation Hadin Kai carried out clearance operations around terrorist hideouts in the Gargash area of Bama Local Government Area in Borno State. The troops recovered two AK 47 rifles magazines ammunition and motorbikes and destroyed terrorists’ camps and farmlands.
