Sunday Igboho set to return to Nigeria as supporters flood Ibadan home
Yoruba nation agitator Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, is set to return to Nigeria today, January 26, 2026, after years in self‑exile in Benin Republic. His planned homecoming has already drawn large crowds of supporters to his Soka residence in Ibadan, Oyo State. Igboho’s spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, confirmed that all arrangements for his return had been concluded after prominent Yoruba monarchs intervened with President Bola Tinubu to have his name removed from the list of wanted persons. Among the traditional rulers credited with facilitating the agreement are the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; and the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Oba Francis Alao, among others.
