El Rufai demands answers over alleged toxic chemical purchase by ONSA
Former Kaduna State governor Nasir El Rufai has accused the Office of the National Security Adviser, led by Nuhu Ribadu, of procuring an odourless and highly poisonous chemical substance. He raised the alarm in a letter asking the NSA to explain why about 10 kilograms of thallium sulphate were allegedly imported from a supplier in Poland. In the letter, which he shared on his social media page, El Rufai described thallium sulphate as a dangerous and tightly regulated substance. He said information about the procurement had reached opposition leaders and insisted that Nigerians deserve full transparency on the intended use.
