Kwabena Agyepong Criticises Clergy Prophecies in NPP Primaries
New Patriotic Party presidential aspirant, Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has sharply criticised religious leaders who publicly predict outcomes of the party’s presidential primaries, describing their actions as inappropriate and misplaced. Speaking to JoyNews, Agyepong questioned why pastors and prophets are increasingly inserting themselves into partisan political contests, particularly through prophetic declarations about election winners. “They are supposed to be preachers, preaching the gospel. I don’t know what business they have dabbling in politics. I find it very strange,” he said.
