Zamfara First Lady Supports Elderly, Poor with Food, Cash
The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has marked the 2025 International Day of Charity with a major outreach to vulnerable groups in the state. The programme, organised through the Huriyya Dauda Lawal Initiative in collaboration with the Northern Governors’ Wives Forum, took place in Gusau and focused on providing relief to the elderly and the less privileged. Themed “Speeding Global Generosity and Strengthening Community Support”, the event featured the distribution of bags of rice, cartons of spaghetti, sugar, vegetable oil, and cash donations to support households struggling with economic hardship.
