Three CNG buses explode at Kaduna motor park, no lives lost

An early morning explosion involving compressed natural gas powered buses has rocked the Mando Motor Park in Kaduna, destroying at least three luxury vehicles. The incident occurred around 3 00 to 4 00 a m on Sunday when the buses were parked in preparation for interstate trips later in the day. Eyewitnesses said a deafening blast was heard before flames and thick black smoke engulfed the section of the park where the vehicles belonging to Silver Travel & Luxury Bus were parked. The fire quickly spread from the first CNG bus to two other newly acquired buses, leaving the fleet badly charred and mangled. Sunyani Residents Unharmed After VRA Transformer Fire Sparks Power Outage.

Residents of Area Two in Sunyani were left unharmed after a fire broke out in a Volta River Authority (VRA) transformer early Thursday morning. The incident caused power outages, plunging parts of the municipality into darkness. By 10:00 a.m., VRA personnel were working to restore electricity.Locals reported hearing an explosion before noticing the transformer ablaze. Efforts to control the fire failed until the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) arrived and extinguished it. No injuries were reported.Assemblyman Abdul Issah expressed gratitude for the swift response by the GNFS, while the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Residents are hopeful that power will be restored soon.
