UK Commends Nigeria’s Economic Policies, Pushes for Expanded Trade Relations
The United Kingdom has commended President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing them as bold and necessary steps that are creating fresh opportunities for growth and stronger bilateral trade. British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, made the remarks on Monday during a courtesy visit to First Lady Senator Remi Tinubu at the State House, Abuja. Montgomery said the UK viewed the reforms as “difficult but necessary” measures that were already reshaping Nigeria’s economy. He noted that the policies were opening doors for enhanced trade relations between both countries. “We see a lot of positivity in Nigeria’s economy, particularly new opportunities being created by the reforms undertaken by President Tinubu,” he said.
