Troops kill terrorists, stop kidnappings in fresh raids

Nigerian troops have stepped up operations across several theatres, killing terrorists, foiling kidnap attempts and rescuing victims in different parts of the country. According to military authorities, the coordinated raids targeted armed groups involved in terrorism, banditry and kidnapping. Tinubu condemns Borno abductions, urges Nigerians to resist fear

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the recent terrorist attack and mass abductions in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, and urged Nigerians not to give in to fear. Military launches Operation Savannah Shield in Kwara

The Defence Headquarters has launched Operation Savannah Shield in Kwara and parts of Niger State following last week’s deadly terrorist attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area. Gen Musa: How coup attempt was foiled at planning stage

ISWAP second in command killed as military steps up Sambisa offensive
