Troops Kill 38 ISWAP Fighters In Northeast Joint Operations

Nigerian troops have killed at least 38 fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province in a series of joint ground and air operations in the Northeast. The operations were carried out under Operation Hadin Kai after intelligence reports indicated plans by the terrorists to launch attacks on military positions and nearby communities. According to military sources, ISWAP units attempted coordinated assaults on multiple fronts, using a mix of fighters and support elements. Army trains personnel on cyber security, social media risks

The Nigerian Army has launched a three day Social Media Awareness Campaign to improve cyber security awareness and responsible online behaviour among its personnel. Zulum condemns deadly Maiduguri bomb explosions

Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has strongly condemned the multiple bomb explosions that rocked Maiduguri on Monday evening and urged residents to remain calm and vigilant . Army intercepts 296 wraps of suspected cannabis in Ogun

Nigerian troops have killed eight Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in separate clashes in Borno State and recovered heavy weapons, including rocket propelled grenades, rifles and an armed drone. Troops kill five terrorists, rescue three abducted children in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised five terrorists and rescued three abducted children in separate operations carried out in Borno State. The Joint Task Force said the operations took place between February 20 and 21 as part of ongoing efforts to crush insurgent groups in the North East. Troops kill Boko Haram commander in Borno, recover nearly N40m cash

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed a Boko Haram commander and recovered almost N40 million in cash during an operation in Borno State. The Nigerian Army said the troops intercepted a suspicious vehicle believed to be moving funds for the terror group in the north east. According to military sources, the operation followed credible intelligence that insurgents were relocating large sums of money meant for logistics, recruitment and the purchase of weapons. Troops rescue eight kidnapped wedding guests in Kano

Troops of 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have rescued eight of the 10 people abducted by suspected terrorists at a wedding in Dabawa, Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State. The victims were kidnapped on Wednesday when gunmen in military camouflage reportedly stormed the ceremony and took them away.​ A military source said soldiers deployed in an ambush position along the Yankwada River line moved quickly towards the area after receiving a distress call.
