Two in critical condition as four survive Imo airport plane crash
A Cessna 172 aircraft operated by Skypower Express crash-landed on approach to Runway 17 at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Owerri, Imo State, on Tuesday evening. The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau said the incident occurred at about 6:58 p.m. after the crew declared an in-flight emergency and diverted from their original route. The light aircraft, with registration 5N-ASR, was reportedly flying from Kaduna International Airport to Port Harcourt International Airport before diverting to Owerri due to the emergency situation.
