DSS Frees Three Men Wrongly Held Over Banditry Allegations

The Department of State Services has released three men earlier arrested on suspicion of involvement in banditry and kidnapping after a fresh review showed they were wrongly detained. Nigeria to launch NigComSat-2A, 2B for stronger connectivity

The Federal Government has announced plans to launch two new communication satellites, NigComSat-2A and NigComSat-2B, to enhance digital transformation, national security, and economic growth. The project, led by Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat Ltd), will replace NigComSat-1R, which has been in service since 2011 and is now expected to operate until January 2028 after a lifespan extension.
