9ice says prayers and religion have not improved Nigeria
Singer Alexander Adegbola Akande, known as 9ice, has said that Nigeria’s heavy focus on religion and prayers has not translated into real national progress. Speaking at a recent event, he compared Nigeria with countries like the United Kingdom, where people appear less devoted to organised religion yet enjoy higher levels of development. 9ice, who described himself as a traditionalist, said his views were shaped by personal experiences, including recovering from a spiritual attack after help from an Ifa priest. He noted that many Nigerians spend a lot of time on religious activities such as regular worship and pilgrimages.
