State linked outlets, quoting sources within the Supreme Leader’s household, said they had confirmed the “martyrdom” of these family members following the bombardment. The deaths came during the same operation in which Khamenei himself and other top military and political leaders were reported killed, prompting Iran to declare 40 days of national mourning.​ Officials in Washington and Tel Aviv have not given specific public comment on the reported deaths of Khamenei’s relatives, maintaining that the operation was aimed at Iran’s leadership and strategic military infrastructure.

Defence Ministry Vows Open Probe into Ashanti Crash
