ADC NEC takes over party administration, appoints interim leadership
The National Executive Council of the African Democratic Congress has announced that it is taking over the administration of the party and putting in place an interim leadership structure. The move follows a prolonged leadership tussle and multiple court cases over who legally controls the ADC ahead of the 2027 elections. At an emergency NEC meeting in Abuja, key stakeholders resolved to sideline the warring factions and mandated a caretaker team to manage the party’s affairs until a national convention is held.
