Kwankwaso’s Defection To ADC: APC A Threat To Democracy – Mark
National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, has described Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s defection to the ADC as a turning point for Nigeria’s democracy. He spoke in Abuja as the former Kano State governor was formally received into the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. Mark said Kwankwaso’s move was more than a simple change of platform. He framed it as a deliberate response to Nigerians’ calls for a cohesive opposition capable of safeguarding democratic values and providing a credible alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress. The former Senate President accused the APC of posing the greatest threat to multiparty democracy in Nigeria.
