FG opens 2026 PTDF overseas scholarship for postgraduates
The Federal Government has opened applications for the 2026 Petroleum Technology Development Fund Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Nigerian postgraduate students. The programme covers study opportunities in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Malaysia. The announcement was made by the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, in a post on X. The PTDF said the scheme is for MSc and PhD candidates in fields relevant to the oil and gas sector. Beneficiaries will receive full funding, including tuition, return air tickets, accommodation, living allowances, health insurance and bench fees where applicable. The fund explained that the scholarships are designed to provide access to world class training, research facilities and global expertise while building local capacity for Nigeria’s energy industry.
