Minority in Parliament Demands Payment of Outstanding Salaries for Nurses and Midwives

The Minority in Parliament has urged the government to immediately release funds for the payment of salaries owed to nurses and midwives, insisting that financial provisions for the payments were already approved. At a press conference, the Minority accused the government of politicizing public administration and misleading the public about the delays. Minority Alleges National Security Operatives Stole GH₵10,000 from Former BoG Governor

The Minority in Parliament has accused National Security operatives of engaging in unlawful activities, including theft, during a raid on the home of former Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison. At a press conference on Thursday, March 20, 2025, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin condemned the alleged "Rambo-style" operation that occurred on Wednesday, March 19, at Dr. Addison’s residence in Roman Ridge, Accra.Afenyo-Markin claimed that during the raid, the operatives stole GH₵10,000 that was left on the former governor's bed.
