By-election: Kano Police Pledge Maximum Security for Voters

The Kano State Police Command has assured residents of full security during Saturday’s bye-elections in Bagwai/Shanono and Ghari/Tsanyawa. Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, said on Friday that all security agencies in the state were working together to ensure the elections are peaceful and free from violence. According to him, detailed operational instructions have been issued to officers stationed at every polling unit in the affected areas. He added that enough armed personnel have been deployed to provide protection before, during, and after the polls. Bakori encouraged residents to come out and vote without fear, stressing that the police will maintain a visible presence at polling stations to protect voters and prevent intimidation. “We will not allow thuggery, harassment, or any violent acts.
