Man City stars face Christmas weigh in warning
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has warned his players not to overindulge during their brief Christmas break, saying anyone who returns overweight will be left out of the squad to face Nottingham Forest. He revealed that the entire squad was weighed before the holiday and will be checked again when they report back to training on December 25. Guardiola said the players had asked for a day off after the 3–0 win over West Ham, but he refused, insisting they had not played well enough to earn it. Instead, the team held a recovery session on Sunday, trained those who did not feature, and were then given three days off before regrouping ahead of the trip to Nottingham.
